“To Our Dearest Community,” the post began. It was written after the third anniversary, and it thanked people twice: once for celebrating, and once for something else entirely.
Something had happened to the shop's Google business page the week before. The post does not go into what, and neither will we. What it does say is that the response from Victoria was overwhelming, and that the team wanted that on the record.
We have received an overwhelming support from this community, from each & everyone of you. From the bottom of our team's sincerest heart, Maraming Salamat Po. Thank You for showing up for us.
Friends & Family Bake
It was signed with two flags, the Philippines and Canada, which is how the shop signs most things. The same two flags sit on the chef's-hat logo above the door.
The anniversaries so far
The first was on 18 February 2024, marked together with Chinese New Year: buy two, get one free across the breads, pastries and delicacies, and a free blessing bag for the first eleven customers to share with their own friends and families.
In January 2025 the shop came back after a period away, and thanked people for the messages, the calls and the patience while it was closed. Then this, in March 2026, for the third year.
The pattern is hard to miss. Every milestone this bakery marks, it marks by thanking somebody else.
