Unit 101, 3 Fan Tan Alley. Along Pandora, in front of the chocolate shop.
Friends & Family Bake sits in Fan Tan Alley, the narrowest commercial street in Canada, tucked into Victoria's Chinatown. It is a registered, VIHA-approved, locally owned bake shop making authentic Filipino breads and pastries alongside western baked goods — pandesal, ensaymada and ube, baked fresh through the day.
Every tray in the case carries a yellow tag explaining what it is and how it is best served. The wall by the window is covered in sticky notes left by customers. None of it was designed to look a certain way; it just accumulated, the way a real neighbourhood bakery does.
"Together, we can bake this world a better place." Part of the proceeds goes to the Zoe Children's Home Foundation in Bais, Dumaguete, supporting children in the Philippines who cannot afford school supplies.
